POWERNEEMA® RRR
POWERNEEMA® RRR is a 12-strand HMPE mooring rope with an integrated stretchy component, engineered to reduce recoil risk during vessel mooring operations.
Combining the high strength-to-weight ratio and low elongation of HMPE with a reduced-recoil design, POWERNEEMA® RRR provides lightweight handling, stable rope behavior, and high load-carrying performance for demanding mooring applications.
The integrated stretchy component is designed to absorb part of the energy released if the load-bearing structure fails, helping reduce sudden recoil behavior. The rope remains lightweight and buoyant, supporting easier handling, splicing, and inspection during marine operations.

WHY USE REDUCED-RECOIL MOORING ROPE?
A reduced-recoil mooring rope is a synthetic mooring line designed to reduce the amount or behavior of recoil that can occur when a highly tensioned rope fails.
When a mooring line is under tension, mechanical energy is stored within the rope and the surrounding mooring system. If the line fails, part of this stored energy can be released rapidly, causing the line and connected components to move unexpectedly.
Reduced-recoil rope designs are developed to modify this failure behavior and reduce the associated recoil risk. The actual behavior depends on rope construction, material, rope length, line tension, system configuration, and operating conditions.
POWERNEEMA® RRR applies reduced-recoil design principles to an HMPE mooring rope, combining recoil-risk considerations with the high strength-to-weight characteristics of HMPE.
