SUPERTUBE
SUPERTUBE is a tubular rope protection sleeve for synthetic mooring lines, designed to provide abrasion and cut protection while reducing friction between the sleeve and rope. Its tightly braided construction incorporates a polyurethane (PU) coating and forms a protective layer around the selected rope section.
The sleeve is designed to limit frictional heat generated by relative movement against the rope. Sizes and lengths are matched to the rope diameter and protection area, with installation normally completed at the factory before delivery.
SUPERTUBE is suited to fairlead and chock contact zones and selected rope-eye contact areas at mooring fittings, particularly where repeated movement makes sleeve-to-rope friction an important selection consideration.
