Four Brothers Ropes was established in 1958 as a family workshop specializing in rope craftsmanship. Over three generations, the company has evolved into a globally recognized manufacturer of high-performance synthetic ropes. Currently, Four Brothers Ropes supports the offshore, maritime, and fisheries industries with reliable, innovative solutions, drawing on decades of accumulated technical expertise and manufacturing excellence.
1958
Our founders handcrafted ropes from natural plant fibers.
1988
We established our first factory and began industrial production.
1990
FBR developed the FBR-POWERNYLON® rope, which quickly defined the standard for the shipping industry.
1995
FBR developed the FBR-POWERDAN® polypropylene rope for fishing and aquaculture.
2000
FBR developed the FBR-POWERNEEMA® UHMWPE rope.
2003
We established the Maritime Department to serve the global shipping market.
2004
Our business went global.
2005
FBR developed the FBR-POWER-MIXED® high-performance blended rope.
2007
The Offshore department was established to focus on deep-sea mooring and offshore wind power.
2009
The R&D Center is equipped with tensile testers (50–2500 tons) and advanced testing systems to support innovation.
2020
The FBR-LIFTMAX®PLUS was developed for heavy-lift operations.
2021
COSCO SHIPPING International (Hong Kong) took a strategic stake in Four Brothers Rope.
