Why Polyester for Offshore Mooring?

Polyester is widely used in permanent and long-term offshore mooring systems because of its combination of strength, elasticity, durability, and relatively low weight.

For floating offshore structures, the elastic behavior of polyester mooring lines can help accommodate environmental loading while maintaining the required station-keeping performance.

Compared with steel wire rope, synthetic polyester lines can substantially reduce line weight, making them easier to transport, handle, install, and manage offshore.

SINOROPE® is engineered around these characteristics to provide a practical synthetic rope solution for demanding offshore mooring systems.
