POWER-WINCHLINE™
POWER-WINCHLINE™ is a nylon monofilament mooring winch line developed for vessel mooring applications where elasticity, stable rope behavior, and reliable winch handling are important. Available in 6-strand and 12-strand constructions, the 12-strand configuration is designed to provide improved structural and rotational stability during winch operation.
Nylon’s elastic response allows the line to accommodate changing loads and absorb energy generated by vessel movement and variations in mooring tension. For winch-handled mooring systems, the rope construction also influences twisting tendency, spooling behavior, flexibility, and repeated handling performance.
POWER-WINCHLINE™ is intended for shipboard mooring-winch applications, including automatic-tension winch systems where permitted by vessel and terminal operating procedures. Final selection should consider required LDBF, wet-condition strength, line length, winch configuration, drum geometry, abrasion exposure, and operating cycle.
