POWERNYLON™
POWERNYLON™ is a high-tenacity polyamide (nylon) rope for commercial fishing and aquaculture applications requiring elasticity, energy absorption, abrasion resistance, and flexible handling.
Nylon’s elastic response helps accommodate dynamic and shock loads generated by fishing gear, vessel movement, waves, and changing operating conditions. Available in 8-strand and 12-strand constructions, POWERNYLON™ is suitable for selected applications including trawl and bridle lines, purse seine lines, fishing-gear handling, aquaculture anchor and grid lines, and fishing-vessel mooring.
Final rope selection should consider required strength, elongation, wet-condition performance, abrasion exposure, and the overall system configuration.

Why Choose Nylon for Fishing & Aquaculture?
Nylon is useful where the rope needs to accommodate changing or shock loads rather than transmit load with very little stretch.
Its elasticity can help moderate peak forces caused by vessel movement, fishing gear dynamics, waves, and repeated loading. This makes nylon particularly relevant where flexibility and energy absorption are more important than minimum elongation or buoyancy.
Because nylon is denser than water and its properties change when wet, buoyancy and wet-condition strength should be considered during rope selection.
