Four Brothers Ropes originated from a family rope-making workshop founded by Mr. Li Changfu in 1958. Over three generations, it has grown into a globally recognized manufacturer of high-performance synthetic ropes. Today, Four Brothers Ropes serves the offshore, maritime, and fisheries sectors with reliable, innovative solutions, backed by decades of technical expertise and manufacturing excellence.
ORIGIN
Our founders handcrafted ropes from natural plant fibers.
INDUSTRIALIZATION
We established our first factory and began industrial production.

FBR developed the FBR-POWERNYLON® rope, which quickly defined the standard for the shipping industry.
POWERDAN®
FBR developed the FBR-POWERDAN® polypropylene rope for fishing and aquaculture.
POWERNEEMA®
FBR developed the FBR-POWERNEEMA® UHMWPE rope.
MARITIME DIVISION
We established the Maritime Department to serve the global shipping market.

The Offshore department was established to focus on deep-sea mooring and offshore wind power.
R&D Center
The R&D Center is equipped with tensile testers (50–2500 tons) and advanced testing systems to support innovation.

The FBR-LIFTMAX®PLUS was developed for heavy-lift operations.
STRATEGIC INVESTMENT
COSCO SHIPPING International (Hong Kong) took a strategic stake in Four Brothers Rope.
